PokerTek And Casino Gambling In US Coming Together Quickly
PokerTek has been taking US casinos by storm in their attempt to have their PokerPro Texas Hold ‘em poker tables placed in all of the finest gambling locations in the country.

Betting Strategy at Three Card Poker
Although this table game uses the hand rankings and general concept of poker, it lacks the subtlety and skill of variations like Texas holdem and seven card stud, where the players compete directly with one another. In fact, three card poker is even simpler to play than uk online blackjack, in which the player must learn the optimal decision for each set of hands in relation to the dealers up card. Three card poker involves only three decisions: Is it worth playing due to the payout structure? Should I bet the Pair Plus? Do I fold or play my hand? Lets start with the first question. While roughly similar, there are several different payout structures on the ante bet, which vary from casino to casino. Fortunately, the difference in house edge in almost all of these structures is less than 1%. When choosing where to play, your best option will be a table that pays 5 to 1 on a straight flush and 4 to 1 on three of a kind, although 3 to 1 isnt much worse. You should be aware, however, that there are some casinos that do not pay a bonus on the ante when the player makes a straight, improving the house edge. If possible, avoid three card poker at these casinos, even if a special payout for a Mini Royal Flush is offered. The next decision you need to make is whether or not to play the Pair Plus circle. A friend of mine once told me a story about how his father had won a lot of money using the strategy of betting on the Pair Plus, as if this were some sort of expert move. On the contrary, the Pair Plus is often seen as a sucker bet, as it serves merely to increase the house edge, though the prospect of a big payday on a straight flush is certainly enticing. The most common pay structure, in which a flush pays 3 to 1, is actually the least favorable to the player. In general, play at places that offer 4 to 1 odds on a flush and 6 to 1 on a straight; the other hands are rare enough that slight variations in the payout do not much matter. If youve decided to play in the game at all, you must then choose to fold or play your hand each round. Fortunately, this is probably the easiest decision of all: bet the Play if your hand is Q-6-4 or better and fold if it is lower. In other words, play any hand that contains a king, any hand that contains a queen and a seven or better, and any hand that contains a queen, a six, and a four or better. This hand is the cutoff point for where the player begins to lose less than he would lose by folding. Using this strategy and betting the Pair Plus would give the house an edge of a little over 5%, which is higher than blackjack and some bets on the craps table but not too bad when compared with many of the other bets in the casino.

Play Australian online casinos casinos games specially for Australian players

Six Hour Heads-Up Battle Ends With German Heinz Winning WSOP Title
Back in July, nine strangers were introduced to one another through their stellar play at the World Series of Poker main event. The November Nine then took a break from the main event tables for several months, and reconvened in Las Vegas this past weekend to finish the biggest poker tournament in the world.Pius Heinz was one of those players that had a dream to become the next main event champion. This week, Heinz completed his journey and became the first player ever from Germany to win the main event. The twenty-two year old Heinz became an instant celebrity when he outlasted Martin Staszko after a six hour battle.Heinz and Staszko’s heads-up match went on for six hours and captivated the followers of both players. The two players exchanged the chip lead several times over the course of play, but it was Heinz who eventually came out on top, taking home almost $9 million for the win. Staszko won over $5 million for his runner-up performance.ESPN helped bring even more exposure to an event that already was the most celebrated poker tournament in the world. The final table having players from seven different countries helped the television audience, as more countries watched the WSOP main event final table than ever before. It is expected that the popularity will continue to grow as online gambling becomes more accepted in the US.Ben Lamb was the top American finisher in the main event. Lamb made it all the way to the three way play, but he busted out just four hands into the new day. Lamb’s elimination set the stage for one of the longest heads-up battles in the history of the main event. The record for a heads-up challenge at the main event was set in 1983, when Tom McEvoy and Rod Peate played for 7.5 hours.Lamb not only won the third place money of over $3.5 million, but he also walked away with the Player of the Year honor. Lamb had himself an impressive WSOP, which ended in shocking fashion when he called an all-in from Staszko while holding only king-jack.

Lou Diamond Im A Celebrity USA
CelebPoker Star in Im A CelebPokers resident Texas Hold em coach and established movie actor, Lou Diamond Phillips is playing a whole new game this summer as the star of Im A Celebrity USA. The former professional Poker player and star of Young Guns, who is now the face of the CelebPoker.com Poker School, is proving a big hit in the American version of the show, which also includes Stephen and Daniel Baldwin, brothers of Alec, and Janice Dickinson, who was runner up in the British series in 2007. Its great to see Lou proving such a hit in Im a Celebrity and were hoping hell show the same staying power in the show that hes demonstrated at the Poker table, said David Donovan, Chief Executive Officer of CelebPoker.com. Hes a really charismatic guy, which is why we chose him as one of the faces of CelebPoker.com. The 47-year-old actor, who also directs movies and television shows, entered the show when it began on June 1st and has been game for all the challenges that the shows producers have thrown him, beating all the other contestants to win Hang Tough a game that involved hanging from steel bars above a tank of stagnant water. The team are all glued to the coverage of the show, which we can catch over here on ITV2 and weve got our fingers crossed that Lou can win this one, added David, In some ways its a bit like poker as you need to mask your true feelings and hang in there if you want to win the big prize.

Affiliates are going crazy wondering about their money
by Tuesday,27 Sep 2011 The poker affiliate payments site rakeupdate.com has been defaulting on payments sending ripples though out the industry Just as the Full Tilt Poker scandal seems to finally be wrapping up there is yet another one around the corner. Professional poker players around the world have been using the services of rakeupdate.com for some time now only to find that the firm have been unapproachable for the past month. Despite repeated efforts to contact them players havent managed to get a response from the firm. It has been six weeks since the companys network provider, Elite Affiliate Software stopped providing services to the firm due to non-payment of their funds. There is more than $1 million owed to clients and it doesnt look like they are going to see their money any time soon.Unlike with Full Tilt Poker it looks like personal problems between the owners of the company have led to its downfall. There was a power struggle in the company as to who was ultimately in charge between the two biggest personalities involved, Mike Haid and Daniel Persson, it was Persson who who ultimately won with Haid and several other key employees walking away from the firm. This was a year ago and the service offered by the sites run by the firm immediately suffered. Players are said to have lost massive amounts of money since the firm stopped responding to players requests. In an interesting angle on the events of Black Friday that poker players dont usually hear about, the people at Rake Update also suffered massive problems owing to the fact that the big payment processors pulled out of the United States, they were particularly hard hit when Moneybookers and Neteller walked away from the market. When that happened they had to rely exclusively on gaming firms that were operating in contrast to US gaming laws including almost exclusively Full Tilt Poker. When the CEREUS Network and Full Tilt were taken down by the Department of Justice (DoJ) there were no more funds coming into rakeupdate.com and yet they were still paying out funds to customers. It was inevitable that they were going to implode the question was only the timing, of course none of this was known until later. The effects of this problem are far reaching indeed, although not on the scale as with Full Tilt Poker the ripples have still been sent throughout the industry.

Full Tilt Poker maintain their gaming license
by Tuesday,23 Aug 2011 In the wake of Black Friday Full Tilt Poker have slid further and further down the totem pole Full Tilt Poker have paid off the 250,000 that was outstanding for their online gaming license to the regulator the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). This means that the poker website could now be a more attractive prospect for investment, or at least that was the thinking behind the AGCCs decision to allow them to continue negotiations with a consortium of European businessmen who are interested in buying the crippled poker giant. The roots of Full Tilt Pokers demise lie in the events that occurred on April 15th 2011 also known as Black Friday. On this day the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) swooped down the top three online poker companies in the world and ejected them from the US market by freezing their bank accounts and their URLs preventing them from operating in the United States. In the wake of these measures the poker firms, Full Tilt, Poker Stars and Absolute Poker were forced to comply with the demands of the DOJ which included repaying their American clients all of the money that they had in their accounts and not marketing themselves in the US. In contravention of this deal Full Tilt Poker failed to pay back their former clients in the US and ended up having their gaming license suspended by the AGCC as a result. The public hearing in the swanky Belgravia neighbourhood of London was supposed to be a full and frank discussion of the issues affecting Full Tilt Poker but instead turned into a farce when the hearing was put behind closed doors after a request by the full Tilt lawyer. As things stand the website has until September to secure a bid for their site from this European consortium behind closed doors. What has really made Full Tilt Poker a source of ire for the online gaming community is that when the AGCC suspended their license they stopped trading and ensured that every single player was unable to gain access to their money wherever in the world they were located, regardless of the laws of their country. Other poker rooms, such as William Hill Poker have been seeing a lot of new players coming to them since the collapse of Full Tilt Poker with the William Hill brand proving a strong incentive to players looking for a safe place to put their money while they play poker.

Poker players take to the casinos in huge numbers
by Thursday,25 Aug 2011 In the wake of Black Friday many US poker pros have been making regular trips to the local casino The events of April 15th that have come to be known as Black Friday have left a huge mark on the online gaming community of North America. It is estimated that tens of millions of American citizens enjoyed playing poker online and thousands made their living from the game. An elite few were fully sponsored pros meaning that they were able to play with someone elses money and split the profits. When the online game was taken away from citizens of the United States the thousands of men and women who depended on online poker for their livelihood were left without a source of income. Former online players have dealt with these changes in a number of ways. Some have left the United States for Canada and other countries where it is legal to play, others have gone to the local casinos to play in live tournaments and tables leading to a massive increase in the number of players playing live. One former fully sponsored pro poker player is Bryan Trischetta. The fact that he cant play online anymore ensured that he had to start making regular visits to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs casino room to make some money. Its a numbers game, He says of poker, the game he used to play on as many as 10 tables at the same time. The more you play, the better you do. Bryans highest place finish since playing live casino tables was $3,176 for a 6th place finish at the Mohegan Sun which was the biggest tournament in the history of the casino. Until Black Friday, I came here to get away, Trischetta laments. Now, Im coming all the time, primarily to play the tournaments. Trischetta is still looking to produce the kinds of results that he was able to come up with everyday online and has done well in the events held at the casino having cashed in three of the four biggest events the Mohegan Sun has held since Black Friday. Each time he cashed he made it to the final table coming seventh out of 119 in April for $1,154 and ninth out of 102 in May for $618 in the $285 buy-in events. There are many players in the same position as Bryan, all of them attempting to make a living in the casinos of the United states.

World Series Of Poker Unveils Million Dollar Tournament
The Top Online Casino Gambling News Reporting Organization! The World Series of Poker understands that part of the allure of playing poker for gamblers is the excitement factor when big money is on the line. That is why the WSOP has unveiled this week the largest buy-in tournament in the history of the game. The $1 million buy-in will also help the event break the record for largest payout. On Thursday, WSOP officials announced that they had thirty players already signed up for the $1 million buy-in tournament. The previous record for a single prize in poker came during the 2006 main event, when Jamie Gold won just over $12 million. The tournament this year is expected to have a top prize of $12.3 million. The WSOP has been pushing the envelope the past few years, and this year they were dedicated to bringing even more excitement to the annual event. The $1 million buy-in tourney is just one of several new events, as the WSOP continues to grow. Already, the summer poker series is considered the biggest event in poker each year. The economic recession hurt the WSOP in 2009 and 2010, but last year Las Vegas was again filled with hopefuls looking to break the bank. The main event has become so popular that ESPN now televises the final table on a short tape delay. The televised event draws millions of watchers from all across the world. The $1 million event could gain more popularity in the coming months leading into the WSOP. Tournament officials claim they will cap the game at 48 entries, meaning only 18 more are needed to reach that magic number. The field for the tournament will be a mix of professional poker players and billionaires. Pros such as Johnny Chan and Daniel Negreanu will take part in the event, as will Cirque du Soleil founder Gary Laliberte.Professional poker players tried unsuccessfully over the past year to create their own league, where amateurs would not be permitted to play. The league folded, however, after the founders ran up debt and failed to produce a product that caught on with the public. The $1 million tournament was created as a fundraiser for One Drop, an organization that raises money to help get water to poor countries.
